Feature · Beat local rivals
Competitors.
bamboo lists the CQC-registered homes near you, closest first, and asks one question of each: does it compete with you for the same families? The homes you confirm drive your Presence Score, your coverage sweeps and your answer-engine checks.

A competitor in bamboo is a home you confirmed, not one a database guessed. Suggestions come from the CQC register, with the care types, the rating and the distance, and for premium homes the published weekly fee, so you can see at a glance whether a home is really chasing the same families.
It is not a list of every home in the county. Three well-chosen rivals tell you more than thirty. Starter lets you confirm three. Grow has no limit.
What it does
Competitors, step by step.

Suggested from the CQC register
Homes near you appear closest first with their care types, their CQC rating and, where it is published, their weekly fee. Care homes are matched with care homes and home care agencies with agencies.

Why it matters
What competitors changes.
The right comparison set
A rank only means something against the homes a family would actually shortlist beside you. You pick them.
What changed near you
A rival in the local paper, six new Google reviews, a CQC re-rating. The weekly digest tells you before a family does.
One confirmation, many uses
Confirm a rival once and every other tool knows who you are measured against.
Questions
The ones that get asked.
How many competitors can I confirm?
Three on Starter, as many as you like on Grow. Suggestions are never capped.
Does it work for home care?
Yes. A home care provider is matched with the agencies registered near it, not with care homes.
What if a rival is not on the CQC register?
For a single location bamboo works from the register, because that is where the comparable data lives. A group hub can add a national brand by name and track its press and social coverage alongside yours.
